Hopkins scores career-high 31, Prairie View A&M tops Alabama A&M 87-76

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) — Javontae Hopkins scored a career-high 31 points to spark Prairie View A&M to an 87-76 victory over Alabama A&M on Monday night.

Hopkins added five rebounds and three steals for the Panthers (8-12, 3-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Orlando Horton Jr. scored 20 on 8-for-14 shooting. Brian Myles scored 12.

The Bulldogs (3-17, 2-5) were led by Chad Moodie, who recorded 21 points and three blocks. Dailin Smith pitched in with 13 points, seven assists and three steals. London Riley scored 10.
