Bo Jackson teases, tells Charles Barkley Auburn is building statue of him
There was some action during the first timeout of Saturday's Arkansas-Auburn game as former Tiger greats Charles Barkley, Chuck Person, ex-coach Sonny Smith and current basketball coach Bruce Pearl took the field.
On the video board appeared Auburn's legendary Heisman winner Bo Jackson to tweak Barkley for not having a statue on-campus. Then, Jackson announced to the crowd that the school is going to add one of Barkley.
Jackson told the sellout crowd Barkley was No. 1 among Auburn legends and he was only No. 2. Jackson then emerged on the field and the icons hugged.
They barely made it off the field before Eli Stone took the first play 78 yards for an Auburn score.
Good stuff. Barkley & Bo after statue announcement. Eli Stove breaks off 78-yarder behind them. @BoJackson points the way to the zone. pic.twitter.com/9jznRBPM4W
