Angels minor leaguer flips over outfield wall while robbing home run

Zach Welz is an outfielder for the Arkansas Travelers (Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels) and on Wednesday, he may have made the best catch you'll see this year.

In the eighth inning of a game against the Tulsa Drillers, Cody Bellinger smashed a ball to right field that looked and sounded great off the bat. The announcer in the clip above didn't hesitate to proclaim it a dinger before the ball came down. That would ultimately prove to be unwise, as Welz tracked the ball and made a leaping grab before flipping over the outfield wall. He held onto the baseball, making it one long (and loud) out. Bellinger was not pleased.

There already have been a number of great catches in baseball this week -- including more dinger larcenies from Andrew Benintendi and Ben Revere, a dive into the crowd from Shawn O'Malley, and an incredible chasedown from Billy Hamilton -- but this one from Welz might be the best of them all.
