Watch Javier Baez go into full 'Matrix' mode to avoid a tag at 3B
Javier Baez continues to amaze during the World Baseball Classic.
The Cubs’ second baseman has played a big part in Puerto Rico’s march to the championship game of the WBC. And he made his presence felt again in Monday’s 4-3 semifinal win over the Netherlands in 11 innings.
In the fourth inning, Baez attempted to steal third base and appeared to be out – in fact, he initially was called out – despite an incredible slide. However, Baez was ruled safe after the play was reviewed – during which time viewers were astonished after multiple angles of the slide in slow-motion.

That slide came on the heels of Baez's amazing no-look tag in last week’s win over the Dominican Republic.

So, perhaps the only player who could have tagged out Baez on that stolen-base attempt Monday was … Baez.
