Three days following his incident in Italy, 2006 MotoGP champion Nicky Hayden remains in critical condition with his clinical picture unchanged at the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena.
Hayden was hit by a car while training on his bicycle on the Rimini coast in Italy on Wednesday. The 35-year-old was treated on the scene for life-threatening injuries before being taken to a local hospital with head and chest trauma.
Hayden was then transported to the Bufalini Hospital and, on Thursday, it was made public that Hayden had suffered severe brain damage. Hayden’s fiancé Jackie, brother Tommy and mother Rose are by his side.
