Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg took to social media on Sunday to thank his friends and fans for their support, as he celebrated his first Formula One World Championship title.
The 31-year-old, however, also made it a point to thank his family after achieving his first F1 title, sharing a four-minute long video to his social media accounts. Next to the video, which replays footage of him racing a kart around his house as a child, read the words “Danke Mama und Papa.”

Nico’s father Keke also won the Formula One World Championship in 1982. Keke and Nico Rosberg are the second father-son pair to win the World Championship after Graham and Damon Hill.
