Kobe has the perfect response when asked which of his jerseys the Lakers should retire

Now that Kobe Bryant's NBA career has come to a close, there are decisions to be made about exactly how he'll be honored by the Lakers.

A statue is almost certainly on the way, and a jersey retirement ceremony is, as well. But since Bryant wore both 8 and 24 for 10 seasons each, that raises a complicated question about which number the team should raise to the rafters.

Bryant himself (via ESPN) had a clever response to this very question.

"[Whichever number is chosen] it'll be pretty hard for someone else to wear the other one," he said.

It probably won't come to that. Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak told the L.A. Times back in January that the team might just go ahead and retire both numbers.
