Teacher from Oklahoma creates 'No KD' zone to teach students about quitting

With Russell Westbrook all but officially returning to the Thunder, you’d think it’d be happy times in Oklahoma City and for Thunder fans nationwide. And for some, it certainly is.

But then there are others, who seem to still be holding a grudge after Kevin Durant, a full month after he decided to leave Oklahoma City for the Golden State Warriors.

That would include a young teacher by the name of Tucker Hein, a recent Oklahoma graduate, who is now beginning his first year as a school teacher in Indiana. With the school year just underway in Mr. Hein’s classroom, he decided to use Durant as a teaching point.

That’s right, as you can see below, Mr. Hein created the ‘No KD Zone’ which he is using as a teaching point in his classroom. The lessons that students will learn?

Simply put, this is brilliant! As someone who’s been anti-Warrior from the beginning (and dubious about the Warriors running away from the rest of the NBA next season) I love it. What better way to teach kids life lessons, and do it in a pretty funny way.

Either way, the board has apparently been a hit, not only with me, but people all over the country. According to a news report in Oklahoma, Hein was worried about how the board would be received, but apparently his students loved it. It also led to a debate in his classroom about Durant and his decision.

Overall, it’s pretty hard not to like this Tucker Hein character.

Although I do wonder if his anti-KD burns quite as bright with the news that Russ Westbrook is on his way back to OKC for the long-term.
