Atlanta Falcons reportedly still interested in free agent Jake Long
While Jake Long came to workout for the Atlanta Falcons this past week, he also went to visit the New York Giants and Denver Broncos. Obviously, when a free agent leaves town, many believe that he'll sign somewhere else.
According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN, Dan Quinn says that the team is still interested in the free agent offensive tackle, even though he's wrapping up other visits.
"I think we're interested in everybody -- not just one specific player -- but anybody ... that can help us perform better. Jake was certainly someone that came in and had an awesome workout here. So Jake, amongst others, are always guys that we're going to keep looking, keep finding ways to compete in that way, too. Every way we can try and make our team better, Thomas (Dimitroff) and I together are going to constantly do that." Quinn told ESPN.
It's obvious that Quinn still has his eye on Long. It's unknown, though whether or not he'll wind up making another trip back to talk contract with the Falcons. Quinn put it best though when saying that the focus is simply on making the team better, and he apparently left impressed with Long's workout.
The Jake Long watch is officially on for Falcons fans.
