LeSean McCoy exits with shoulder injury, 'should be fine' for Thursday
The Buffalo Bills grabbed their fourth win of the season with a 33-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins. With the win, they moved into sole possession of third place in the AFC East, thanks to big days from its playmakers.
LeSean McCoy had a strong game, rushing for 112 yards on just 16 carries. In the fourth quarter, however, he left with a shoulder injury and did not return. Fortunately, the Bills had control of the game and weren't in any danger of losing, so McCoy didn't have to come back in.
After the game, McCoy said he could have checked back in had it been closer, but he and the coaching staff didn't feel it was necessary. Additionally, McCoy gave an update on how he'll be ahead of Thursday night's game against the Jets.
"We'll treat it up. I should be fine for Thursday's game," McCoy said.
It's a good sign for the Bills, though if he is unable to go, Karlos Williams seems to be a capable replacement. The rookie found the end zone twice on Sunday as he rushed for 110 yards on just nine carries. Thursday night's game will be a pivotal matchup in the AFC East with second place on the line.
