Chargers should not enter the risky Junior Galette market

Published Jun. 29, 2015 9:02 a.m. ET

Troubled New Orleans pass rusher Junior Galette could soon be on the market.

The Chargers should steer clear away from him, according to team blog Bolts From The Blue. He’s just not worth the risk, regardless of talent.

Galette’s on-field production was never in question. He’s averaged 11 sacks a season since 2013 and he’s only 27 years old. San Diego desperately needs a dynamic edge rusher to emerge in their defense.

Just not desperate enough, Bolts from the Blue posits, to sign the player potentially responsible for this beach brawl.

Galette’s alleged involvement could land him a big suspension, according to BFTB. And his career could take another hit from a coach-bashing video circulating online.

BFTB posits San Diego should just say no if he’s found to be behind either video. The Chargers don’t need a player like that representing their team in the community.
