Bears must make a decision regarding rookie WR Kevin White soon

The Chicago Bears used the seventh-overall pick in this year's draft to select wide receiver Kevin White, a 6-foot-3 West Virginia product with the ability to stretch the field. Originally expected to make an immediate impact, he has spent his rookie season languishing on the physically unable to perform list instead.

White, who suffered a stress fracture in his left shin and underwent a surgical procedure in August, will learn his fate soon enough. The Bears have until Tuesday, Nov. 24, to either activate him or declare him out for the rest of the season, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

After the Bears' 37-13 defeat of the St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday, reporters asked White when he'll be cleared for practice.

"I am not sure," White said, per the Tribune. "I don’t know. When I know, that is when you guys will know. It’s day-by-day. I guess we’ll see."

The Bears have won back-to-back games and are clinging to life with a 4-5 record. With the team heating up and a very winnable slate ahead, Chicago will certainly want White in the mix if there's a legitimate chance to make a push for the playoffs.
