Johnny Manziel explains his offseason: 'I'm not always partying'

Johnny Manziel has a lot of work to do before a team gives him another chance. He's continuously had lapses off the field and can't seem to stay out of his own way. His wild, carefree behavior has pushed possible suitors away.

Recently, he made headlines by sharing a since-deleted photo of a new Rolex tattoo on his hand, in addition to hanging out with Justin Bieber. Those aren't necessarily troublesome events, and it actually appears like he's doing his best to get his life back on track.

TMZ caught up with Manziel in Los Angeles at 2 a.m. Friday morning where he shared an update on what he's been up to.

"The LA party scene is alright," Manziel said. "I'm not really partying, though. I'm just out with some buddies. No drinking. Hanging with the boys, man. Staying on track. I'm out at the spots. I'm eating good food. Not doing anything crazy though, being smart."

Manziel also addressed those who think he parties too much, which he obviously does for someone who wants to be handed the keys to an NFL franchise.

"I'm not always partying, though," he said. "I'm just out having a good time with my boys and not drinking."

His latest showing of seemingly good behavior won't be enough to get him a job just yet, despite the Broncos reportedly expressing interest. He'll have to do a lot more to show he's worth bringing in.
