Colts put up unusual banner at Lucas Oil Stadium
We're...No. 2? In the conference?
On Wednesday, the Indianapolis Colts held an open workout for fans at Lucas Oil Stadium. Inside the stadium, fans were treated to a new addition: A banner commemorating Indy's AFC title game appearance against the New England Patriots.

Yes, the Colts put up a banner to celebrate a game they lost 45-7, one which was later overshadowed by the Deflategate controversy.
Reaction on social media, both from Boston and beyond, was predictably harsh.
The Colts are pretty much celebrating mediocrity with this "AFC Finalist" banner. http://t.co/yZIPc4YfdS pic.twitter.com/0ecQQc0fqc

That Colts banner is bad, but is it really among the worst in sports? Haha, of course it is. http://t.co/nUGPAdqBYI pic.twitter.com/WqwymQX6NY

Embarrassing? Perhaps. But, t's not unprecedented and it doesn't appear to be a passive-aggressive swipe at the Patriots and their controversial win either. Indianapolis has banners hanging to mark AFC title game appearances in 1995 and 2003. The Colts lost both those games a well.
For the debate... #Colts AFC "Finalist" banners aren't a new thing... pic.twitter.com/F0E1BWwf48
