Cowboys' Alfred Morris continues tradition of spending pregame with Redskins stadium staff
For the first time in his career, Alfred Morris will be facing the Washington Redskins, not lining up for them. He left the Redskins in free agency this offseason by opting to sign with the Dallas Cowboys, and on Sunday, he’ll make his return to FedEx Field for the first time since joining Washington’s bitter rival.
He still has plenty of friends at the stadium though – and not just Redskins players.
Before Sunday’s game, Morris continued his tradition of hanging out with his “stadium fam” prior to pregame warmups.
He began the ritual when he was a rookie with the Redskins, and he wasn’t going to let it die when he signed with the Cowboys. Morris took photos with the stadium staff and chatted with them, as there was probably plenty to catch up on now that he’s a member of the team’s rival.
Morris also said a prayer with stadium officials before the game.
This is just another example of Morris being one of the humblest players in the league. Don’t forget, he’s also the guy who still drives the car he bought for two dollars as a college junior.
