Broncos fans started a petition to bring back Tim Tebow

The Denver Broncos, coming off of a Super Bowl victory in February, don't really know who their quarterback will be next season. Mark Sanchez is the frontrunner right now because, well, he's really the only guy with a chance currently on the roster.

Denver has showed interest in both Colin Kaepernick and Sam Bradford, but no deals have been made, and it's unclear if a trade will every go through for one of those big-name quarterbacks. There is one guy on the streets who fans are campaigning for, though. And that guy is Tim Tebow.

Broncos fans have started a petition to get Tebow back in a Broncos uniform, despite boasting a 47.9 career completion percentage and being away from the game since 2012. So why do fans want him to lead their team? Here's the reasoning:

It was started by Will Garner of Palmer Lake, Colo., and has received more than 3,600 supporters. Some of the comments include table-pounding phrases like "He has FIRE in the BELLY," and "Tim Tebow is the hero Denver deserves."

There's almost no chance Tebow is going back to Denver -- or any NFL team, for that matter -- but don't tell these Broncos fans that.
