The Detroit Lions have dipped already dipped into the New England Patriots' talent pool to rebuild their personnel department. Now, they've picked up one of their former coaches.

On Friday, former Patriots strength and conditioning coach Harold Nash was hired for the same position with the Lions.

After retaining head coach Jim Caldwell, Lions general manager Bob Quinn fired the team's strength and conditioning staff. The Patriots fired Nash earlier this week, after nearly two dozen players suffered significant enough injuries to miss time.

Quinn, who was New England's director of pro scouting before accepting Detroit's GM job earlier this month, has now hired four people with Patriots connections. They are Nash, director of player personnel Kyle O'Brien, chief of staff/assistant to the GM Kevin Anderson and scout Ron Miles.
