The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have traded tight end Tim Wright to the Detroit Lions, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

This marks the second time Wright has been traded since entering the NFL in 2013. ESPN's Field Yates reports that Tampa Bay will receive kicker Kyle Brindza, an undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame.

The Lions already have Eric Ebron, the 10th-overall pick in last year's draft, Brandon Pettigrew and Joseph Fauria at tight end. The position is suddenly very crowded with the addition of Wright.
Wright, 25, was originally signed by the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers. After catching 54 passes for 571 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie, he was traded to the New England Patriots just before the 2014 season.
Although he played in all 16 games last year, Wright's production dipped with the Super Bowl champions and was released this offseason. The Bucs then reacquired the young tight end by claiming him off waivers.
