Dez Bryant says Tony Romo was 'throwing missiles' at practice

Dak Prescott’s heroics Sunday against the Eagles left many believing he has solidified his position as the Dallas Cowboys’ starting quarterback moving forward. But if Dez Bryant is to be believed, Prescott’s grip on the starting spot might slip.

Bryant was singing Tony Romo’s praises after practice Thursday, saying he was impressed by Romo’s improved physique and his arm strength.

“I think he’s been losing some weight, and I think I saw some abs on him,” Bryant told NFL Network, via Pro Football Talk. “Romo’s been throwing some missiles out there.”

Romo has yet to play this season after suffering a back injury in the preseason. He won’t be in the lineup Sunday against the Browns, but it sounds like it won’t be long before he’s cleared to return.

The real question is whether he will be coming back as the starter or the backup.
