Dez Bryant undergoes MRI on knee as Cowboys await results

The Dallas Cowboys looked like they avoided a scare Sunday night, when Dez Bryant tweaked his knee in the first quarter against the Bears. Bryant returned to the game and even caught his first touchdown of the season.

But the Cowboys had their Pro Bowl wide receiver undergo an MRI on Monday and are awaiting results of the exam. Bryant suffered the injury on the second play from scrimmage, when his right knee was caught under a defender. He went on to play 52 of 68 snaps in the Cowboys' victory.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is remaining positive.

"I saw how the knee took it. That was a little concerning," Jones told ESPN of Bryant, who missed seven games last season after suffering a broken foot in Week 1. "I did see him moving around, but I saw Michael Irvin -- I'll never forget that -- go back out and play [after an ACL injury]. Let's just see how the MRI goes. We've got what we've seen in here, and that's not something I would be alarmed about."
