Jordy Nelson still works 12-hour days on family farm during offseason

No one can question Jordy Nelson's work ethic. The Green Bay Packers wide receiver, who signed a $39 million contract extension last year, revealed in a recent interview with ESPN the Magazine that he still returns to Riley, Kansas, every offseason and works up to 12 hours a day on his family farm.

"Working cattle is my favorite farm duty," Nelson told ESPN, via Business Insider. The Pro Bowl pass-catcher also said he identifies "more as a farmer" than as a football player.

The Packers picked Jordy Nelson in the second-round of the 2008 NFL Draft. After a slow start to his professional career, the Kansas State product has been an explosive playmaker over the past four seasons. He has accumulated 400 catches for 6,109 yards and 49 touchdowns since entering the league.

Earlier this year, Nelson told The 700 Club how life on a farm prepared him for a career in the NFL.
