The Houston Texans have locked down a big part of their offensive line.

The team has agreed to a five-year, $26.5 million deal with tackle Derek Newton, a source has told FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo. According to the contract, $10 million is guaranteed.

Newton came to the Texans as a seventh-round draft pick out of Arkansas State in 2011. He became a starter the following year and has played in all 16 games in back-to-back seasons.
