Glazer: Offensive lineman Moffitt un-retires, will be free agent

Former NFL offensive lineman John Moffitt has un-retired and will become a free agent, FOX Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer reported on Wednesday.

Moffit, who spent three seasons in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos, retired on Nov. 5, 2013, saying he didn't want to risk his body playing a sport he no longer had a passion for. Moffitt retired as a member of the Broncos, but Glazer reports that the team will release him now that he wants back in the league.

During the time Moffitt spent away from the game, he went to rehab to deal with drug issues. After getting clean, he approached Glazer and began training at the latter's Unbreakable Performance Center in Hollywood, Calif.

"I have never been so proud of a guy I've trained that I am of John Moffitt," Glazer said in a tweet. "Guy inspires us every day ... he's become the favorite of every player in our gym.

Moffitt arrived in the NFL back in 2011 as a third-round pick of the Seahawks. He appeared in 19 games during his first tenure in the league, with 15 starts.
