Meeting Pope was cool, but Brady puts trust in Belichick

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was among those watching the news coverage of Pope Francis' arrival in the United States.

Brady met Pope John Paul II after winning the Super Bowl after the 2003 season. Asked about it on Wednesday, Brady said his time with the pontiff was ''very brief ... but pretty cool (and) well worth it.''

Brady was also asked who ranks higher, Pope Francis or Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

''In Bill we trust,'' the reigning Super Bowl MVP said with a laugh.
