Dolphins RT James (toe) may return Sunday after eight-game absence

The Miami Dolphins' offensive line entered the 2015 season as a huge question mark. Ryan Tannehill hasn't been protected well over the past few seasons and has found himself on the ground more often than he'd like. To make matters worse, Tannehill and the Dolphins were forced to overcome several injuries.

Mike Pouncey has missed time this season and has looked irreplaceable at center, while right tackle Ja'Wuan James has also been out since Week 8. He injured his toe against the New England Patriots on Oct. 29, but he could be on track to return for the season finale.

He fully participated in practice this week and Dan Campbell said he has the best chance to play out of Rishard Matthews, Mike Pouncey and Earl Mitchell. Jason Fox took over at right tackle when James went out, but he hasn't played well in his place. That's evidenced by the fact that the Dolphins allowed a season-high six sacks on Sunday.

James' return may be a bit late as the Dolphins have nothing to play for, but there's no question his presence would be welcomed.
