Dolphins, Tannehill want to get TE Jordan Cameron the ball more often

The Miami Dolphins brought in several players this offseason via free agency and trades. One of those players was tight end Jordan Cameron, who has the potential to be one of the best at his position.

With the Cleveland Browns, Cameron was not only injured, but he also lacked a star quarterback to get him the ball. Now with the Dolphins, both of those things have changed as Cameron is now healthy and has Ryan Tannehill at quarterback.

With a bevy of other weapons on offense, Tannehill is focused on spreading the ball around to his playmakers. Cameron in particular is one player that he would like to get the ball to more often.

"He's doing everything I could ask for right now," Tannehill told reporters via the Sun Sentinel. "He's a big playmaker for us, and honestly, we'd like to get him the ball probably a little bit more than he's getting it right now. We saw a few big catches in the scrimmage ... in the red zone he's definitely going to be a threat for us all year."

Tannehill appears to be more than willing to get Cameron the ball more often, and he's not wrong in thinking that. He's a big weapon at tight end and a tough matchup for opposing defenses. He's not Rob Gronkowski or Jimmy Graham, but Cameron can definitely put his name atop the list of great tight ends in the game right now.
