Patriots raise breast cancer awareness with incredible display at Gillette Stadium
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month across the country, and the NFL has always supported the cause with its “A Crucial Catch” campaign. Teams around the league wear pink on their uniforms each week during October, but the Patriots and Gillette Stadium performed an incredible gesture on Sunday.
After the first quarter, fans held up signs that formed a sea of pink throughout the entire stadium with a pink ribbon and the Patriots’ logo inside. The scene was remarkable.
Things like this have been pulled off numerous times at sporting events, but none of them have been quite as impressive as this one at Gillette Stadium. As of last year, more than $8 million had been raised for the American Cancer Society through its partnership with the NFL.
