Did the Patriots send the wrong message by signing Michael Floyd?

The New England Patriots signed Michael Floyd this week, just a couple days after the Arizona Cardinals cut the wide receiver following a DUI arrest.

Bill Belichick and the Pats have a penchant for finding troubled players and fixing them, but does signing Floyd so soon after his arrest send the wrong message?

Cris Carter, who overcame alcoholism and went on to a Hall of Fame career, joined "Undisputed" on Friday and argued it's better that Floyd still has a job in the NFL, which will help him get the help he needs.

"I'm glad someone claimed him. The reason why is he's still in the NFL program. He's still in the NFL protocol. He still has insurance. He can still get help," Carter said. "And the No. 1 way when you have a problem with addiction, substances — being alcohol or drugs — is stability, and your ability to go to work as a man with your pride and make a income for your family ...

"I'm glad he's employed today because I know now he's going to be put under some different guidelines if he wants to play, 'cause Bill Belichick, what's his No. 1 thing, Skip? Do. Your. Job. So part of him doing his job is him staying clean and staying sober."
