Mark Ingram praises offensive line after stellar rushing performance
The New Orleans Saints finally got their breakthrough rushing performance in Week 7, and it came from Mark Ingram. The starting running back for the Saints broke of multiple big runs in their victory over the Indianapolis Colts, finishing up with 14 carries for 143 yards.
As a team, the Saints rushed for 183 yards against the Colts, showing that they may have finally found the ability to dominate on the ground.
For Ingram, well, he made sure to praise the offensive line, according to Mike Triplett of ESPN.
"I think we came in with a very diverse run game, and I think it helped everybody," Ingram told ESPN of the Saints' variety of inside and outside runs. "The offensive line did a tremendous job. I can’t have a game like that without them. They did a great job getting a hat on hat, having seams for me to run through, and I just had to make a guy miss in the open field."
The Saints now square off against a New York Giants team who recently gave up 152 yards and a touchdown on the ground to Darren McFadden in Week 7.
