Jets' Eric Decker, Brandon Marshall set NFL record for WR duo

The New York Jets came away with their fifth consecutive win on Sunday, topping the New England Patriots, 26-20, in overtime. Eric Decker sealed the victory with a walk-off touchdown reception from Ryan Fitzpatrick, his 11th score of the season.

Earlier in the game, Brandon Marshall nabbed two touchdowns of his own, giving him 13 on the year. More importantly, it was the eighth time both Decker and Marshall caught at least one touchdown each, which is a new NFL record.

The mark was previously set by Randy Moss and Cris Carter in 1998 with the Minnesota Vikings -- Moss' first season in the league. The record is now held by veterans Decker and Marshall, who are playing their first season together for the Jets. 

Needless to say, they've played a huge role in lifting New York to a 10-5 record. The Jets have already won six more games than they did all of last season when they finished 4-12 and looked like a hopeless team. Now, Marshall and Decker have solidified the wide receiver position, combining for 176 catches, 2,353 yards and 24 touchdowns. It's been a record-breaking season for the two, and they have the Jets in control of their own destiny for a playoff berth.
