PHOTO: Ryan Fitzpatrick shaved his iconic beard, because of 'mojo'

Aside from being one of the smartest players in the NFL, New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is most recognized for having a phenomenal beard.

On Wednesday, the "FitzBeard' met its match: mojo.

Fitzpatrick shaved his iconic beard, going with a different look for the team's upcoming game. With the Jets reeling of late, Fitzpatrick thought it'd be a good time to change things up.

"Just seemed like it was time to switch up the mojo a little bit," he said.

While he claims to have shaved it because of the team's "mojo," the real reason is probably to clean things up for Thanksgiving. After all, he's got to look his best on the holidays, just like the rest of us. Sadly, we probably won't be seeing Brandon Marshall tugging on Fitz's beard any time soon.
