Panthers sign CB Sanchez; DT Butler only draft pick unsigned

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) The Carolina Panthers have signed cornerback Zack Sanchez, their fifth-round draft pick from Oklahoma.

Financial terms were not available Thursday.

With Sanchez under contract, it leaves first-round draft choice Vernon Butler as the team's only unsigned draft pick.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Sanchez was a two-time All-Big 12 Conference choice and started 37 games at Oklahoma. In three seasons, he had 134 tackles, 15 interceptions and 28 passes defensed. He finished his career fourth in school history in interceptions.

The Panthers will start rookie minicamp Friday.
