Big Ben wants the Steelers to be crazy aggressive with 2-point attempts
The Pittsburgh Steelers have earned a reputation as a team that loves to go for the two-point conversion after touchdowns.
And quarterback Ben Roethlisberger wants his team to be even more aggressive this season. As in, going for two every time the team scores. And head coach Mike Tomlin is at least willing to discuss the idea, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
"Why not?" Roethlisberger said, according to ESPN. "Put it in our hands. I want the ball. Any player would relish that opportunity."
Last season, the Steelers converted eight two-point tries -- four more than any other team. Their 11 attempts also led the league.
The likelihood that the Steelers will render the extra point irrelevant is extremely low, but expect them to be the NFL's most aggressive squad once again after finding the end zone. And expect them to have plenty of opportunities, given that they ranked fourth in the league with 423 point last season.
