Report: Eagles OT Lane Johnson facing 10-game PED suspension
Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson reportedly is on the cusp of his second PED suspension in three seasons, and this one will be much longer than the first.
Johnson, who missed the first four games in 2014, now faces a 10-game penalty for his second violation of the league’s policy, according to multiple reports.

Last time around, Johnson said he took a prescription medication that was prescribed by a family doctor without getting it cleared by the Eagles’ training staff. This time, he told FOX Sports' Jay Glazer that he took an amino acid that was approved but that he tested positive for a peptide and is hoping a B sample will clear him.

Johnson, 26, has started in every game except those four since he was the fourth overall pick in the 2013 draft. If he loses his appeal, the Eagles will be without one of their top offensive players in Doug Pederson’s first season as coach. Philadelphia signed Johnson to a contract extension through 2021 this offseason, but the guarantees in that deal -- $35.5 million -- would be voided by another suspension, according to multiple reports.
