Retired Marshawn Lynch is trying to become the next Willy Wonka
Marshawn Lynch is doing his best to stay busy in life after football and, so far, it's going quite well.
In addition to trying out rugby earlier this year, the former Seahawks running back is now getting into the candy business. The 30-year-old Lynch is about to release his own line of Beast Mode chocolate bars, and he's channeling his inner Willy Wonka to move the product.
Lynch visited his pal Conan O'Brien this week to talk about the project and select one lucky "Golden Ticket" winner to receive a tour of the factory alongside the former NFL star. The always-wacky Lynch proved that he's just about a perfect fit to be the modern-day Wonka, especially when he donned the infamous top hat.
The sketchy guy who didn't want to open his candy bar will be accompanying Lynch on a tour of the Seattle Chocolate Company, so congrats to him. We can probably assume that the factory no longer trusts Lynch (or his friends) to participate in the day-to-day operations after this display during a hands-on workshop:
That performance was very reminiscent of the infamous "I Love Lucy" episode that saw Lucy and Ethel working under similar circumstances. Now that Danny Woodhead is out for the season, maybe Lynch can enlist his services as head Oompa Loompa at the factory.
