Russell Wilson and Ciara announce engagement in surprise video

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and pop superstar Ciara are engaged. The couple broke the news on Twitter Friday, and Ciara showed off a massive (and very sparkly) ring. 

Wilson knew this day was coming before he even met Ciara (according to him, at least). After the couple went public with their relationship in 2015, Wilson revealed in a shockingly open interview at The Rock Church that he told a friend he'd end up with Ciara one day. Wilson also famously acknowledged that he and Ciara made a vow to abstain from premarital sex.

“I told somebody that's the girl I want to be with before I even met her. Before I met her, I was like ‘I'm probably going to end up with Ciara.' ... For me, I knew that God had brought me into her life to bless her and for her to bless me and to bless so many people with the impact that she has, that I have."
