Darrell Bevell responds to comments from Marshawn Lynch's mom
Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell knows the public scrutiny is part of the job.
For some teams, the criticism is far more reaching, particularly if it's a high-profile team like the Seahawks coming off back-to-back Super Bowl appearances.
And especially if it involves one of the team's most beloved players in Marshawn Lynch.
"It comes with the territory," Bevell said, via ESPN Seattle. "I played quarterback, and you know that guy's going to get more credit than he deserves, and more people are going to be on him when you don't win. It's the same as what I'm doing. I'm totally confident in what I'm doing. I'm totally confident that I'm getting our team in the best position to win, and I'm glad she's passionate about us."
Bevell, of course, is referring to Lynch's mom, who openly criticized the offensive coordinator to be fired in a Facebook post.
Off the football field, the Seahawks have had their fair share of situations to deal with, including Kam Chancelor's holdout and now the comments from Lynch's mom.
On the field, they're just trying to rebound from a Week 1 loss that never should have happened in the first place.
