Anthony Davis burns bridges with 49ers in Twitter rant
Anthony Davis, the San Francisco 49ers' starting right tackle since 2010, abruptly retired before last season citing health concerns. Now he apparently wants to be back in the NFL, but clearly not with the Niners.
Davis basically burned bridges with his old team on Twitter Wednesday, calling out the team in a full-blown rant.
The 49ers should Draft an Offensive Tackle in the top 10. #NFLDraft2016

@BamDavis_ if you don't care about the fans or your brothers in the team. At least get your rights traded cuz we don't want that

Fans understand that you have to make tough decisions sometimes. It's life. I don't know the new guys. I'm trying. https://t.co/CpMFgApV37

Davis has said he plans to unretire but reportedly hasn't applied for reinstatement, and GM Trent Baalke told SFGate.com he has only exchanged a few texts with Davis.
Veteran left tackle Joe Staley didn't seem interested in Davis' potential return.
“I don’t know anything about that,” Staley told the Sacramento Bee. “I haven’t kept in contact with him at all.”
