Rams' Bailey out of ICU, jogging around hospital grounds
As the Rams prepared Wednesday for their final home game of the season (and perhaps final home game ever in St. Louis), they got a bit of news that trumps anything a typical injury report could ever deliver.
Receiver Stedman Bailey, shot twice in the head less than a month ago, let the world know that he is not only up and on his feet, but has begun running around the Miami-area hospital he has been in since the shooting.
The team also announced to the media on Wednesday that Bailey is out of the intensive-care unit at the hospital, and could be discharged entirely in a week or two.
Jus got a nice first jog around the hospital in physical therapy. First time doing more then walking in 3weeks. #Godspeed

A day earlier, his agent Tony Fleming told TMZ Sports that the 25-year-old Bailey is targeting a return home before Christmas.
"He is getting his strength back and just taking it one day at a time," Fleming told TMZ. "He is scheduled to be released out of the hospital on the 23rd."
Fleming was also very complimentary of the Rams, who are among a trio of franchises angling to move to Los Angeles, potentially as early as next season. Bailey last played in St. Louis on Nov. 1. A week later he caught two passes for 13 yards in a 21-18 loss at Minnesota before he was suspended four games for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.
Bailey was shot twice in the head on Nov. 24 while sitting in a car with four other people near Miami. Another person in the car, Antwan Reeves, was also shot while three other people, including two minors, were not wounded.
Earlier this month, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher told reporters that it looked like Bailey would never play football again.
A week later, Bailey pledged on Twitter, “I’ll be back in no time.”
