Report: Connor Barth rejoins Buccaneers on two-year deal

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still making moves, this time, they've decided to bulk up the kicking competition before the season. While Patrick Murray was expected to be the man, Tampa has thrown a wrench into the plans.

According to Zac Al-Khateeb of Sporting News, the Bucs have brought back kicker Connor Barth. The team signed him on a two-year deal and Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post broke down the financial side of things.

Now, many are probably curious why the Bucs chose to sign Barth when they have Murray, but Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune broke that one down for the fans.

Murray's struggles to this point have obviously been noticed, which led to the team bringing back Barth, who kicked for the Bucs from 2009-2013. While Barth hit 84.3 percent of his field goals during his time in Tampa, he was great last year with the Denver Broncos, going 15-of-16.

Just another intriguing competition to watch in Bucs' camp.
