Lavonte David and Logan Mankins named first alternates to Pro Bowl
While Doug Martin and Gerald McCoy both received Pro Bowl nods, two names surprisingly left off the final list for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers included Lavonte David and Logan Mankins. While both players are absolutely deserving of joining their teammates in Hawaii, David is a name that Buccaneers fans have waited to see earn a bid.
In each of his first three seasons in the NFL, David topped 139 combined tackles. Through 14 games this season, he has 126, so he's well on his way to doing it again. To go along with that, David also has 12 passes defensed, three interceptions, two sacks, a forced fumble and a touchdown.

It would obviously be great to see both David and Mankins out there with Martin and McCoy at the Pro Bowl, and both are deserving of the honor.
