DeSean Jackson practicing Monday, set to return in Week 9

Published Nov. 2, 2015 12:41 p.m. ET

The Washington Redskins will likely return to action after their Week 8 bye with a healthier starting lineup. According to CSN Washington's Tarik El-Bashir, wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to return to action in Week 9 against the New England Patriots.

El-Bashir confirmed that Jackson was suited up at practice on Monday, and barring a setback this week, he will be ready to go. Keep in mind, Jackson suffered a setback during practice two weeks ago that held him out of Week 7's action.

Jackson hasn't played since first injuring his hamstring in Week 1. When he's healthy, Jackson is still one of the NFL's most dynamic deep threats. His return will add a much needed deep element to the Redskins' offense.
