Watch: JPP may be down in Florida, but he's training hard

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was absent during the team's voluntary offseason workout program last month. Although some people implied that he wasn't present because he was unhappy with the franchise tag the Giants place on him, that's not the case. Pierre-Paul was not insured if he were to suffer an injury while working out with the team since he has not officially signed his franchise tender. When the Giants open up their mandatory minicamp in a few weeks, head coach Tom Coughlin expects to see Pierre-Paul.

Until then, Pierre-Paul will continue training down in Florida, the state where he played his college football. Just because he's not with the team at the Giants' facility doesn't mean he's not working hard. Check out Pierre-Paul's training videos that he posted to Instagram. These videos will make you never question his work ethic again.

Pierre-Paul finished 2014 on a tear with 9.5 sacks over his last five games. Throughout his career, he has been a dominant run defender at defensive end. If he can put together his pass rush production over the course of the entire season, he has upside to win Defensive Player of The Year in new defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo's aggressive defensive scheme.
