FSO & STO Announce Ohio State football coverage including NEW “Buckeye Weekly” & more
COLUMBUS, OH – SportsTime Ohio and FOX Sports Ohio are thrilled to kick off buckeye football season with a new and exciting lineup of Ohio State football programming.
NEW this season to STO is Buckeye Weekly hosted by James Laurinaitis and Rick Pizzo.
Produced by the Big Ten Network exclusively for STO, this weekly show will be hosted by 15 year sports casting veteran and one of BTN’s original studio hosts Rick Pizzo alongside new BTN talent, former Butkus Award winner, three-time All-American and linebacker at Ohio State, James Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis also played eight years in the NFL, seven with St. Louis Rams and one with the New Orleans Saints. This weekly show will break down previous games and preview the next matchup. The first show debuts Monday, September 4 following Indians game coverage.
Starting this week, look for the first of two new “Then and Now” programs on SportsTime Ohio.
“Then and Now” is an hour-long show in which we sit down with sports legends to look back at a relevant memorable moment and time in their sports careers. The first Ohio State “Then and Now” debuts this Friday, August 18 at 6pm.
Then and Now: 1997 Rose Bowl Champions – premieres Friday, August 18 at 6pm on STO.Host Skip Mosic, producer and broadcaster for Ohio State sports, sits down with former Buckeyes from the 1996 team, including head coach John Cooper, WR Dee Miller and LB Ryan Miller. Hear from the guys that defeated Arizona State in game that featured one of the most dramatic endings in Rose Bowl history.

Then and Now: 2002 National Champions – debuts Saturday August 26 at 7:30pm on STOMosic sits down with former Buckeyes from the 2002 team, including QB Craig Krenzel and LB Matt Wilhelm. They’ll look back on the instant classic and epic national championship game in which they defeated the University of Miami.

Game Time with Urban Meyer Saturdays at 9:00am on FOX Sports Ohio
· This weekly 60-minute show with Ohio State Buckeyes Head Football Coach gives viewers an inside look at the university’s football program and game strategy. Prior to each Ohio State Football game,Coach Meyer and experts from across Buckeye Nation preview all of the match-ups and breakdown the game. Plus, don’t miss exclusive, in-depth interviews with Ohio State players and coaches.

· This hour-long show will showcase Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer playing a round of golf at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio with PGA pro and golf host Jimmy Hanlin.
Ohio State-Michigan, Ohio State-Penn State, & Ohio State-Army Games on FOX
FOX Sports owns the fall in 2017 with an impressive lineup of top games from the Big Ten, highlighted by Ohio State at Michigan on Saturday, November 25 at 12 noon on the FOX broadcast network.
· In anticipation of “The Game,” annually the biggest event on the college football regular-season calendar, FOX Sports offers a full one-hour edition of FOX COLLEGE FOOTBALL KICKOFF pregame show live from Ann Arbor at 11am ET on 11/25.
Also on FOX – four weeks prior on Saturday, Oct. 28 - Ohio State looks to exact revenge on Penn State, who handed the Buckeyes their only regular-season loss a year ago. That contest kicks off at 3:30pm on FOX.
Ohio State’s matchup vs Army on Saturday, September 16 will additionally be on FOX. Kickoff is set at 4:30pm.
