Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals what position he would play if he was in the NFL
It may be a different kind of football, but Super Bowl fever has infiltrated the soccer world. Sunday's big event will be broadcast in more than 170 countries, including on FOX, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic got ready for it by meeting up with former New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora.
Umenyiora, a two-time Super Bowl champ, made sure to ask the important question: What role would Zlatan have on the gridiron field?
"The guy who makes the difference," Ibra responds, in the most Zlatan-like answer you could expect. "I’d be the one who catches the ball. Maybe I wouldn’t be so fast but I would be like a bull and run through all of them."
Of course, he would. It's an entirely different skill set, but Zlatan's self-belief and his freakish genetics (he's still crushing it at 35) can probably help him conquer anything.
Umenyiora seems to think Ibra can do it.
"He has the mentality of an NFL player," the ex-Giant said. "… It's a physical confrontation every single play, so you have to have that ego – you have to have that pride in yourself."
Hard to argue with that.
