Cris 'Cyborg' faces Lina Lansberg in main event for UFC Fight Night in Brazil
Cris "Cyborg" Justino has booked her second fight in the UFC and this time she's in the main event.
"Cyborg" will face Lina Lansberg in a 140-pound catchweight fight that will serve as the headline bout when the UFC returns to Brasilia, Brazil on September 24.
UFC officials confirmed the matchup to FOX Sports on Thursday.
Undefeated for the past 11 years, "Cyborg" made her UFC debut this past May in her native Brazil where she dispatched Leslie Smith in less than one round by TKO.
"Cyborg" has consistently been viewed as one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the women's division and now she looks to tackle the competition in the UFC with her second fight booked for September.
Lansberg — known by her nickname "The Elbow Princess" — also joins the UFC roster with the opportunity to face "Cyborg" in the main event bout.
A winner of six fights in a row, Lansberg is best known for her heavy handed striking style where she's finished four of her most recent opponents by TKO.
The fight between "Cyborg" and Lansberg headlines the UFC card in Brazil, which will air live on FS1 on Sept. 24 with more bouts to be announced in the coming days.
