Ian McCall vs. Ray Borg scrapped from UFC 203 fight card

Published Nov. 15, 2016 2:13 p.m. ET

A late change has been made to the UFC 203 fight card in Cleveland as the flyweight bout between Ian McCall and Ray Borg has been called off just two days before the event.

UFC officials confirmed to FOX Sports late Wednesday night that Borg fell ill and would be unable to compete in the bout on Saturday night.

At this late stage there was no possibility to find McCall a late replacement to fight at UFC 203.

This is the second fight in a row that McCall has been pulled from at the last minute after an opponent dropped off the card.

McCall was scheduled to fight at UFC 201, but his opponent Justin Scoggins was unable to make weight and the bout was pulled from the card. McCall was immediately rebooked for a new fight against Borg at UFC 203 and now that fight has fallen apart as well.

From the sound of things, McCall will once again have to be rebooked for a future card after his latest fight was cancelled due to illness.

UFC 203 will move forward with 11 total bouts on the card.
