Nate Diaz to Conor McGregor: 'I'm coming for you'
Nate Diaz wants a third fight with Conor McGregor and he wants it now.
The top five ranked lightweight is still stewing about coming out on the wrong end of a majority decision to McGregor last Saturday night at UFC 202 and Diaz is making it clear that he wants another shot immediately.
Diaz already taunted McGregor with a message on Twitter on Monday and then he returned fire again late Tuesday night with an Instagram post aimed at the featherweight champion.
"By this time last fight I had already accepted (the) rematch," Diaz wrote.
"Rest up, I'm coming for you."
Diaz is referencing the timeline for the most recent fight with McGregor when he accepted a second bout with the outspoken Irishman immediately after submitting him at UFC 196 back in March.
McGregor was granted the rematch after asking the UFC for another shot at Diaz and now the Stockton, Calif. native is requesting the same after he came away with a very close loss in the latest fight at UFC 202.
UFC president Dana White has already stated that he's not interested in doing a third fight right away between McGregor and Diaz, but given the attention the rematch received last weekend, anything is possible.
There were reports out this week that stated UFC 202 was one of the three most successful pay-per-view cards in the company's history — alongside UFC 100 and UFC 196, which also featured McGregor versus Diaz.
Given the rivalry between the two superstars, a third matchup between McGregor and Diaz certainly seems possible.
It's clear that's what Diaz wants and he's going to continue to challenge McGregor until he gets a response.
