Suspended WWE star Paige proposes to Alberto Del Rio in the ring
Former WWE star Alberto Del Rio and suspended star Paige got engaged over the weekend in Puerto Rico after Del Rio, whose real name is Alberto Rodriguez and wrestles under the name "El Patron," competed in a World Wrestling Council event.
It's been a tumultuous year for both Del Rio and Paige, a former two-time WWE champion and NXT champion who has been suspension for violating the company's Wellness Policy twice over the last two months. She's currently serving a 60-day suspension, but she's been critical of the way WWE has handled her. Earlier in the weekend, Del Rio called out WWE on Twitter by sharing a text that is allegedly Paige's diagnosis.
Del Rio was released by WWE after an unsuccessful second stint with the company lasted less than a year. Paige and Del Rio first made their relationship public in May.
