Bishop puts up 17 in George Washington's 71-60 win against Hofstra

WASHINGTON (AP) — James Bishop scored 17 points as George Washington beat Hofstra 71-60 on Tuesday night.

Bishop shot 7 for 17, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc for the Revolutionaries (3-0). Garrett Johnson scored 15 points and added eight rebounds. Maximus Edwards had 13 points and was 4 of 10 shooting (3 for 6 from 3-point range).

Tyler Thomas finished with 20 points, eight rebounds and two blocks for the Pride (1-2). Darlinstone Dubar added 17 points and two blocks for Hofstra. Kijan Robinson also had 10 points.

George Washington's next game is Saturday against New Hampshire at home. Hofstra plays Buffalo on Monday.
